PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men's rowing team provided a strong showing at the 81st Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday, securing a fourth-place finish in the third Varsity 4+ final.

The Diplomats Varsity 4+ boat opened the competition with Friday morning's preliminary race needing a top-18 finish to qualify for one of the top three final's heats. The group of Giuseppe Inglima (coxswain), Seth Sherwood (4), Harris Karlin (3), Ben Carroll (2), and Lukas Grattan (1) came through with a time of 7:03.142 to take the 18th and final spot out of 35 boats to qualify.
F&M followed with a sixth-place finish in its next event with a time of 8:02.275 to land in Saturday morning's third final heat, where the group claimed fourth out of six boats at 6:38.155. Delaware won the race at 6:32.603 while the Diplomats finished ahead of Division I Iona in fifth and TCNJ in sixth.
