Men’s Rowing Shines at Day One of Knecht Cup

CHERRY HILL, N.J. - All three boats representing Franklin & Marshall's men's rowing team advanced into tomorrow's final events at the Knecht Cup in New Jersey.

Both of the Diplomats' Varsity 4+ boats advanced out of their Saturday heats and into Sunday's Petite Final. The B boat recorded a time of 7:10.87 and took third in their heat. Wentworth secured the top time at 6:56.74. F&M's A boat also tallied a third-place showing in the event's third heat with a time of 7:35.54. Bowdoin won the race with a time of 7:01.86. 

Tomorrow's Varsity 4+ DII/DIII Petite Final is set to start at 9:08 a.m. on Sunday.

F&M's Varsity 8+ boat was equally impressive in their preliminary heat, registering a third-place finish and a time of 6:36.88 to earn a place into tomorrow's DII/DIII Final. MIT won the heat at 6:10.64 

Sunday's Varsity 8+ Grand Final is slated for a 12:12 p.m. start time.
