F&M picked up two Centennial victories last week, starting out the week with a 67-53 win over Dickinson (Recap), before taking down No. 8 Swarthmore 53-51 (Recap) to close out the week.
Against Dickinson, Matt Redhead led all scorers with 18 points, followed by Justin Kupa with 14. J. C. McGrath recorded his third-straight double-double with 11 points and 10 boards while Ignas Slyka led a staunch defensive charge, coming away with a career-high eight steals and tallying 10 points.
Justin Kupa's three-pointer as time expired delivered Franklin & Marshall's men's basketball team a memorable 53-51 upset win over No. 8 Swarthmore.
The Diplomats shot a scorching 65 percent (13-20) from the field in the second half, which included a 6-for-6 effort and 14 points from Kupa. For the game, Kupa led all players with 18 points on 7-of-11 from the floor. Matt Redhead tallied 10 total points, while McGrath added eight points, five rebounds, and three steals.
Ignas Slyka led all scorers with 19 points, hitting 6-for-10 from the floor. J.C. McGrath picked up a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards while Matthew Tate and Brandon Federici both chipped in 13 for F&M. F&M outshot Haverford 47-40-percent, while the Fords held a 36-33 edge on the glass.
