Series History: Franklin & Marshall hosts Ursinus with a 90-36 edge in the overall record and 27-15 mark in conference play. The Diplomats already took down the Bears this season, 77-69 on Nov. 30th. 

Though F&M holds an 84-62 advantage, Muhlenberg cut short a 12-game winning-streak earlier this season, but the Diplomats hold a 34-14 record when taking on the Mules in CC action.

Among the Leaders: Heading into the week, Brandon Federici leads the Conference with 21.5 points per game and 64 triples while Ignas Slyka and Matthew Tate are tied for first with 2.10 steals per game. J.C. McGrath is tied for first with four double-doubles this season.

  • He reset the school record three weeks ago and enters the week with 287 threes; CC record is 306 by Dennis Stanton (Ursinus).

  • He is second with 1,921 points — F&M record is 1,932 by Georgio Milligan '12; CC mark is 1,973 by Nick Shattuck (Ursinus).

  • His 640 field goals are fourth with James McNally '11 holding the school mark at 706. Shattuck holds the CC mark at 754.

Bevo Francis Award Watchlist: Brandon Federici was named to the 2018 Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award Watch List as one of the nation's top players, according to Small College Basketball (SCB).

The third annual Bevo Francis Award, named for the legendary Rio Grande College player who became one of the most popular players in the world, is presented to the player who has had the finest overall season in small college basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements.

Members of the watch list are chosen from NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I, NAIA Division II, USCAA and the NCAA.

The award was created in 2015 and is named after Clarence "Bevo" Francis. Francis played two seasons at what is now the University of Rio Grande. In his first season, he led the team to a 39-0 record averaging 50.1 points per game, highlighted by a 116-point performance against Ashland College in Kentucky.

Ignas Slyka led all scorers with 28 points, hitting 11-for-21 from the floor and ended the game with five boards. Brandon Federici went 9-for-12 from the line to tally 21 points and Matt Groll ended with 12 points and 10 boards for his third double-double of the season.

J.C. McGrath paced the Diplomats with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Matthew Tate had 23 with seven rebounds, five steals, and five assists while Federici ended with 15 points.
