Series History: The Diplomats host Gettysburg for the 222nd meeting on Thursday. F&M holds an active two-game winning streak after winning earlier in this season and have a 37-17 in CC action.

F&M holds a decisive 81-25 edge against McDaniel, including a 37-11 mark in CC play. The Diplomats already took down the Green Terror earlier this season and look to extend their two-game winning streak. 

Among the Leaders: Heading into the week, Brandon Federici leads the Conference with 21.8 points per game while Ignas Slyka and Matthew Tate are tied for first with 2.17 steals per game. J.C. McGrath is second with five double-doubles this season.

Bevo Francis Award Watchlist: Brandon Federici was named to the 2018 Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award Watch List as one of the nation's top players, according to Small College Basketball (SCB).

The third annual Bevo Francis Award, named for the legendary Rio Grande College player who became one of the most popular players in the world, is presented to the player who has had the finest overall season in small college basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements.

Members of the watch list are chosen from NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I, NAIA Division II, USCAA and the NCAA.

The award was created in 2015 and is named after Clarence "Bevo" Francis. Francis played two seasons at what is now the University of Rio Grande. In his first season, he led the team to a 39-0 record averaging 50.1 points per game, highlighted by a 116-point performance against Ashland College in Kentucky.

Matthew Tate led all players with 22 points, shooting 7-for-12 from the floor, and finished with five steals. Brandon Federici had 18 points and seven boards and Matt Groll ended with nine while Ignas Slyka netted eight. F&M had a 35-29 edge on the boards and outshot the Bullets 47-37-percent.

J. C. McGrath had a game-high 22 points to go along with eight boards and five assists. Federici ended with 17 points with seven rebounds and Tate had four steals and 14 points. Lionel Owona ended with seven boards, six points and four steals for the Diplomats. F&M outshot McDaniel 42-37 percent and held a 39-33 edge on the glass.
