Series History: F&M continues CC action on Thursday when the Diplomats take on Gettysburg for the 221st time. Gettysburg leads the all-time series 114-106, but the Diplomats lead 35-17 in CC action, including wins in two of the last three meetings. Gettysburg took the earlier contest this year by a score of 57-54.
The Diplomats hold a dominant 79-25 lead in the series against McDaniel, including a 36-11 edge in CC play with a season sweep over the Green Terror last year. McDaniel won 60-54 earlier this year.
CC POTW: Franklin & Marshall's Brandon Federici was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The honor was the first for Federici this season and the second for a member of the F&M team.
Federici averaged 27.5 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Diplomats. He made five three-pointers on his way to a game-high 33 points in F&M's 100-90 overtime win against Dickinson on Wednesday. Federici followed that with a 22-point effort in a 64-57 overtime victory against Haverford on Saturday. He also handed out 4.0 assists per game.
Around the Conference: Brandon Federici leads the conference with 20.5 points per game and his 2.2 steals per game also lead the CC. He sits in fourth with a 43.8 three-point percentage. Lionel Owona is ninth at 5.8 boards per game while Tate is third with 1.9 steals per game.
F&M Last Week: F&M increased its winning streak to five games with two overtime victories last week. The Diplomats started out the week with a 100-90 win over Dickinson on Wednesday and took down Haverford 64-57 on Saturday.
