Series History

A matchup against Elizabethtown begins the week as the Diplomats resume their season post-spring break. F&M trails the Blue Jays by 20 games in a series that dates back to 1947. Despite four RBIs from Jimmy Whelan '18, a late rally proved insufficient for the Diplomats in a close 12-11 loss last year.

Both Scranton and William Paterson hold narrow one-game leads all-time against F&M, but the Diplomats have won the last five against Scranton dating back to 1988 and registered a win and a loss against William Paterson last season.

The Diplomats are the team with the slight edge against Drew University, with three wins in five games. Last season's slugfest against Drew was called in the eighth inning due to darkness, but not before the Diplomats brought 15 runs across the plate, thanks in large part to Dan Marano's Centennial Conference single-game, record-tying 6-for-6 effort from the plate.

Historic Start

The Diplomats have never been 11-2 to start a season and were the fastest team to 10 wins since the 1995 squad. That year, F&M opened the season at 10-2 and finished with a program best 30-6-1 record and a Centennial Championship
