Franklin & Marshall (2-0) heads into its second week of non-conference action, looking to remain unbeaten in the all-time series against Gallaudet. The Diplomats won each of the only two games against the Bison, which occurred in 2015 during the team's Florida Spring Break trip.
A Look at Gallaudet
The Bison are 2-2 on the year, not including a Wednesday matchup against Hood. Gallaudet compiled a 9-29-1 record last season and was picked to finish eighth in the 2019 NEAC Preseason Poll.
Game Against Shenandoah Postpones
F&M was originally scheduled to travel to Virginia on Sunday to battle Shenandoah, however, that contest has been postponed. A makeup date has yet to be determined.
J.J. Freeman's game-winning, ninth-inning double capped a 3-2 win in F&M's season-opener over Hampden Sydney on Sunday afternoon, before the Diplomats' offense broke out with a 10-4 victory (7 Innings) in the nightcap. Recap.
Milestones to Watch
Marano has notched 144 hits in his career, a mark that places 12th all-time. David Iacobucci '17 leads the way with 181. With 28 career doubles, Marano places 12th. Scott Haft '05 tops the category with 45. His seven home runs are good for ninth among career leaders with Haft pacing the field with 14. Marano's 93 RBIs are ninth all-time with Jason Anderson '10 leading the list with 108.
Horning Reaches 100 Wins
With wins of 3-2 and 10-4 in a doubleheader sweep of Hampden-Sydney on Feb. 24, F&M head coach Ryan Horning reached the 100-win plateau for his career.
