LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Dan Marano was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week for baseball, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is the second of the season for Marano and the third of his career.
Marano (Maple Shade, N.J. / Bishop Eustace) produced a .500/.593.864 slash line in 22 at-bats last week, tallying 11 total hits which included a pair of home runs and two doubles. The senior first baseman collected 10 RBIs, scored seven runs and drew three walks in a 3-1-1 week for the Diplomats.
Last Monday against Messiah, Marano dominated at the plate in a 10-8 F&M win with a 4-for-5 effort, belting two home runs and tallying seven RBIs.
The Diplomats are slated to continue Centennial competition on Tuesday, traveling to Johns Hopkins for a 3:30 p.m. game.
