Series History: The Diplomats take on St. John Fisher for the first time in program history on Friday at Diamond Nation, a training complex in Flemington, N.J. The Cardinals narrowly missed out on a top 25 ranking but received 28 votes in the D3baseball.com poll this week. A doubleheader against Drew on Sunday, also a team the Diplomats have never faced, closes out the week for F&M.
Scouting the Opponents: St. John Fisher, a SUNY school, enters competition with an 8-1 record on the year, including wins in seven straight. The Cardinals are batting at a .402 clip as a team, while their ERA sits at an impressive 1.70.
Drew hails from the Landmark Conference and enters action with a 2-3 record on the year, not including a doubleheader on Friday against Moravian and a doubleheader against Richard Stockton on Saturday. The Rangers are hitting for a .271 average as a team, while their combined ERA is 6.64.
Last Week: Franklin & Marshall went 5-4 over a span of eight days at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational, playing contests in Winter Haven and Auburndale. The Diplomats opened play on Sunday, March 9, with a pair of wins against Juniata (13-1 in game one and 6-0 in game two). The Diplomats also dominated Rhodes on Friday with a 12-2 score in eight innings. The Lynx crept into D3Baseball.com's rankings this week at the No. 25 spot.
F&M wrapped up the week strong on Sunday when the Diplomats held off a late surge for Oneonta St. to hang on for a 12-10 victory before heading back home to Lancaster.

CC Co-Player of the Week: Rob Anderson nabbed his first Centennial Conference (CC) Co-Player of the Week honor on Monday after the senior centerfielder hit at a staggering .536 clip (15-of-28) over a span of seven games. Anderson collected multiple hits in every contest and has now registered a hit in 11 straight. F&M's leadoff hitter had a .679 slugging and a .581 on-base percentage while also stealing three bases.
Changes to the Schedule: F&M's game against York, originally scheduled for this Thursday at Caplan Field, has been moved to Thursday, April 10, at 4:00 p.m. due to a snow-covered field. The Diplomats' contest on Friday against St. John Fisher was also set to be played at Caplan, however the game has been moved to Diamond Nation, a training complex in Flemington, N.J. The start time is slated for 2:30 p.m.
Record Book Watch: With a pair of doubles on the season, Will Benenson sits in ninth place on F&M's all-time list with 29. The program record belongs to Scott Haft (2002-05), who accumulated 45. Benenson also moved into fourth on the program's all-time RBI list with nine on the season to give him 96 for his career. The record belongs to Jason Anderson (2007-10) with 108.
Behind the plate, Pat Andrews has successfully thrown out 25 runners in his career, including three on the season, a mark that places him in second all time behind the program leader Dan Weber (2001-04), who holds the record with 27.
