LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall baseball team spent Saturday helping out the Warwick Little League with its "evaluation day" at the B2B Baseball and Softball Academy in Manheim.
The Diplomats assisted the league evaluate and divide the team's evenly, based on each player's ability. Anyone interested in playing in the league (ages 8-12) was invited to participate. F&M took the players through their warm up routine and offered instruction at four separate stations that were focused on pitching, hitting, infield and outfield defense.
"This event was a terrific experience for our student athletes," said first-year head baseball coach Ryan Horning. "It gave them an opportunity to become involved in the community and work directly with young players who share the same passion for baseball."
F&M opens its season on Saturday, Feb. 22, when the Diplomats travel to take on Guilford at 11:00 a.m.
