Hess and Sinton Named to Academic All-District Team

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall swimmers Anna Hess and Jonathon Sinton were named to CoSIDA's 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District At-Large Teams, announced on Thursday. The honor is the first for both Hess and Sinton and advances them to the Academic All-America ballot, with first- and second-team honorees set to be named in June.

Hess (Dallastown, Pa. / Dallastown Area) finished up her four-year career taking 12th at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships in the 100-yard Backstroke with a time of 1:01.64. Hess was a three-time CC Academic Honor Roll recipient and was awarded the 2019 Delphic Student-Athlete Award. 

Sinton (Towson, Md. / Loyola Blakefield) tallied a strong junior campaign, resetting the program record for the 400-yard IM during the CC Championships with a time of 4:05.69. Sinton also took bronze in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:53.22) at the CC Champs and was named to the CC Academic Honor Roll for the second consecutive year.
