LANCASTER, Pa. - Three Franklin & Marshall student-athletes earned the 2018-19 College Squash Association (CSA) Scholar-Athlete Award. Melissa Epstein and Julia Bevan represented the women's team while Frank Murray garnered recognition for the men.
To garner a spot on the list, a student-athlete must be a two-time varsity letter winner, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above, be either a junior or senior in class standing, and played a top-10 ladder position for the majority of their team's matches.
Epstein (Marblehead, Mass. / Gann Academy New Jewish H.S.) garnered the honor for the second consecutive year. She won five matches during her senior season with four of those victories occurring at the No. 4 spot on the ladder.
Bevan (Strafford, Pa. / Conestoga) made the list in her first year of eligibility as a junior and competed primarily at the No. 9 position for the Diplomats.
Murray (Stamford, Conn. / Choate Rosemary Hall) received the distinction for the second time in his career. He went a perfect 5-0 in official matches during his senior season, including a 3-0 mark at No. 9.
