LANCASTER, Pa. - Schedules for Franklin & Marshall's fall athletic teams have been announced and are available for viewing at GoDiplomats.com. Click on the links above to access each team's 2018 slate of contests.

Field hockey begins its 2018 season with a rematch of last year's NCAA Elite Eight contest against Kean on Friday, Aug. 31 at the Connie Harnum Classis Tournament in Selinsgrove. The Diplomats' home opener is set for Wednesday, Sept. 5 against FDU-Florham, while the opening Centennial Conference (CC) match is against Muhlenberg in Allentown on Saturday, Sept. 15. Johns Hopkins comes to town on Saturday, Oct. 27th at 12:00 p.m. when F&M celebrates Homecoming and Family Weekend with a rematch of last year's CC Title contest.
CC Playoffs get underway with the First Round on Wednesday, Oct. 31, while the Final is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 4. An F&M return to the NCAA Final Four would occur much closer to home in 2018 as Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim was selected to host this year's final weekend on Nov. 17-18.
The Diplomats' inaugural season-opener in Shadek Stadium is slated for Saturday, Sept. 1 against Lebanon Valley at 1:00 p.m. F&M's CC opener is set for the following weekend when F&M travels to Juniata on Saturday, Sept. 8. Homecoming and Family Weekend features the Diplomats battling Moravian in Lancaster at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The regular season draws to a close on Saturday, Nov. 10 when F&M heads to Gettysburg for the annual Lincoln Trophy game at 1:00 p.m.
Men's soccer kicks off 2018 with a four-game homestand, beginning on Friday, Aug. 31 against Lebanon Valley at Tylus Field. Centennial play begins on the road against Muhlenberg (Sept. 15), while the First Round of the CC Playoffs are set for Wednesday, Oct. 31 with the Championship on Sunday, Nov. 4.
After reaching the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season in 2017, the Diplomats will look for a return to the Postseason which begins with the First Round on Saturday, Nov. 10 and culminates with the National Championship on Saturday, Dec. 1 in Greensboro, N.C.
F&M hosts back-to-back games to begin the 2018 season, welcoming Whitworth to Tylus Field on Friday, Aug. 31, before facing Covenant the following day at 1:00 p.m.
CC competition starts on the road Saturday, Sept. 15 at Muhlenberg. Conference Playoffs open with the First Round on Wednesday, Oct. 31, with the CC Championship slated for Sunday, Nov. 4.
Men's and Women's Cross County
The men's and women's cross country teams begin their fall seasons by hosting the annual Alumni 5K with Millersville at Baker Campus on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 10:00 a.m. The Little Three Meet takes place on Friday, Sept. 7 at 6:00 p.m. and will be hosted by Gettysburg.
Haverford will host the men's and women's CC Championships, which take place on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11:00 a.m., while the NCAA Mid-East Regionals are set for Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11:00 a.m. and are being hosted by DeSales.
F&M volleyball opens the season with a trek to California for the Pacific Coast Classic in Claremont. Action opens against Redlands and Pomona-Pitzer on Friday, Aug. 31 with the four-match tournament concluding on Saturday against Occidental and La Verne.
The 2018 home opener takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 5 against Neumann, with CC play beginning on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Muhlenberg. The Diplomats will celebrate Homecoming and Family Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 27 with a 1:00 p.m. matchup against Johns Hopkins in Mayser. Centennial Playoffs begin with the First Round on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and end with the CC Finals on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Additional Fall Competition
Several sports, which compete primarily in the spring, will participate in a number of tournaments and events for the fall portion of their schedule. Women's tennis takes part in the ITA Southeast Regional Championships, hosted by Mary Washington, beginning on Thursday, Sept. 20. The men's tennis team will compete in the same event the following week, with the four-day competition starting on Thursday, Sept. 27.
Men's golf is prepared to compete in five events in the fall, wrapping up action at the annual F&M Fall Invitational, set for Monday, Oct. 15 at Bent Creek Country Club in Lancaster.
Currently, men's and women's rowing will take part in three regattas for the fall portion of their schedule, opening competition at the Occoquan Chase in Fairfax Station, Va. on Sunday, Oct.14 and ending with the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia on Saturday, Oct. 27.
