Ward and Lewis Earn All-Region Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Alyssa Ward and Logan Lewis were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Region Team for the Mideast Region.

Lewis earned the honor in the shot put for the second time, while Ward was named for both the high jump and triple jump for the first time. The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction.

Ward (Teaneck, N.J. / Tabor Academy) recorded her top finish in the high jump with a height of 1.65m (5'5") at the Centennial Conference (CC) Outdoor Championships on May 5, which ranked 26th across Division III and third in the region. The senior notched a distance of 11.63m (38'2") in the triple jump on April 14 at the Osprey Open, hosted by Stockton, to place fourth in the region.

Lewis (Sidney, Neb. / Sidney) tallied a distance of 15.61m (51'11") in the shot put to win gold on May 4 at the CC Outdoor Champs, and finished third in the region. The senior became the seventh athlete in Conference history to be a four-time Centennial Champion.
