F&M Fall 2015 Schedules Released

LANCASTER, Pa. - Schedules for Franklin & Marshall's fall athletic teams have been announced and are available for viewing at GoDiplomats.com. Click on the links above to access each team's 2015 slate of contests. 

A new feature to this year’s schedules is the “Add to Calendar” button, which allows fans to sync new events and updates directly in their Google, Exchange, Yahoo, Outlook, ICal and additional calendars.

Look for the icon below, which can be accessed at the top-right of all fall schedules when viewed on your computer, or bottom-left of all schedules on your mobile device.

Fall schedules are subject to change before the start of the season. Check back with GoDiplomats.com for updates closer to the beginning of the school year.

Field Hockey 

The Diplomats open their 2015 season at home against Elizabethtown on Wednesday, Sept. 2 with a 7:00 p.m. contest at Tylus Field, while Centennial Conference (CC) action begins on the road at Swarthmore on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 12:00 p.m. 

On Wednesday, Nov. 4, the CC Tournament is underway with the first round of competition, with the final slated for Sunday, Nov. 8. The first round of the NCAA Tournament starts Wednesday, Nov. 11, while the championship is set for Sunday, Nov. 22. 


F&M football kicks off its 2015 campaign under the lights against Lebanon Valley in a 7:00 p.m. road contest on Thursday, Sept. 3. The conference opener follows on Saturday, Sept. 12 when Muhlenberg heads to town for a 1:00 p.m. showdown at Sponaugle-Williamson Field. 

Homecoming and Family Weekend takes place against Dickinson on Saturday, Oct. 3 in the annual Battle for the Wagon contest at 1:00 p.m., while the Lincoln Trophy Game against Gettysburg at home brings an end to the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 12:30 p.m. 

Men’s Soccer

The men’s soccer team travels to Lebanon Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 1 to open its 2015 season with a 4:30 p.m. road match. F&M hosts a home tournament at Tylus Field that weekend, facing off against Arcadia on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7:00 p.m. and Alvernia on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 6:00 p.m. 

CC play begins on Saturday, Sept. 19 to close out a string of six consecutive home games for the Diplomats, when Swarthmore heads to Lancaster for a 1:00 p.m. matchup. The conference tournament is set to start on Wednesday, Nov. 4 with the first round, while the final takes place on Sunday, Nov. 8. On Saturday, Nov. 14, the NCAA Tournament begins with the first round, with the playoffs culminating on Saturday, Dec. 5 with the NCAA Championship.

Women’s Soccer 

F&M women’s soccer takes to the road to begin its 2015 campaign, facing off against Penn St.-Berks on Tuesday, Sept. 1 in a 7:00 p.m. contest. The Diplomats opening home game is against Rosemont on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 p.m., while their conference opener is slated for Saturday, Sept. 19 against Swarthmore at Tylus Field, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The opening round of the CC Playoffs takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 4, with the championship set for Sunday, Nov. 8.

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country 

The men's and women's cross country teams open the season by hosting the Alumni 5K vs. Millersville at Baker Campus on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 9:30 a.m. The Little Three Meet takes place on Friday, Sept. 11 with Gettysburg hosting the annual event. The CC Championships will be hosted by Johns Hopkins and takes place on the campus of Stevenson University on Saturday, Oct. 31, while the NCAA Mid-East Regionals are set for Saturday, Nov. 14 at Big Springs High School, starting at 11:00 a.m. 


Volleyball starts off the year on Tuesday, Sept. 1 by traveling to face York at 7:00 p.m., before returning to the Mayser Center on Friday, Sept. 4 for its home opener at 7:00 p.m. against Penn St.-Berks. Key early season tournaments include the F&M Scramble from Sept. 11-12 and the Emory National Invitational in Atlanta, Ga., from Sept. 18-19.

CC play opens at home against Muhlenberg on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7:00 p.m., while the first round of the conference tournament begins on Wednesday, Nov. 4 and ends with the final on Sunday, Nov. 8. 

Additional Fall Competition

A number of sports, which compete primarily in the spring, will participate in a slew of tournaments and events for the fall portion of their schedule. Women's tennis will take part in the ITA Southeast Regional Championships, hosted by Mary Washington, beginning on Saturday, Sept. 26, while the men's tennis team will compete in the same event the following Saturday.

Men's golf is prepared to compete in five invitationals in the fall, wrapping up action at the annual F&M Fall Invitational, set for Monday, Oct. 19 at Bent Creek Country Club. Currently, men’s and women’s rowing will take part in a pair of regattas for the fall portion of their schedule, opening action at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia on Oct. 24 and ending with the Head of the Occoquan Regatta in Fairfax, Va., on Saturday, Oct. 31.
