READING, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall placed four runners in the top 10 en route to a first-place team finish on Saturday at the Alvernia Invitational. The Diplomats collected just 33 points on the day, while hosts Alvernia finished second with 46.
Grace Adams was the first across the line for F&M, completing the 6,000-meter course in 25:56.6 to take second place overall. Just behind her was fellow Diplomat Emma Lane, whose time of 26:21.5 was good for third place.
Abby Grehlinger was next to finish for F&M, coming in 7th at 26:54.3. Kathleen McCutcheon rounded out the top-10 finishes for the Diplomats, coming in 10th with a time of 27:17.4. She was followed by three more Diplomats, beginning with Lily Magliente (11th, 27:35.5), Caroline Kearney (12th, 27:41.4) and Nancy Le (13th, 27:42.6) to round out the top seven for F&M.
Four other Diplomats competed on the day, all of them finishing in the top 20.
F&M competes next on Saturday, October 29 at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships hosted by Haverford.
