Gettysburg, Pa. - Senior Sheena Crawley was the top finisher at the Little Three Meet hosted by Gettysburg on Friday. Crawley finished in 18:55 and became the first F&M runner to take first at the Little Three Meet since Jamie Kendig in 1995.
Crawley was able to pull away in the last half mile to finish eight seconds faster than Gettysburg's Christine Esposito. Dickinson swept the next four spots on their way to their 18th straight victory in the annual meet. F&M finished in third.
F&M freshman, Mallory Reed, finished in eighth place with a time of 20:00 in the 5K race. Reed has been the second Diplomat to cross the line in both of her first two NCAA meets. Fellow freshman, Julia Zielinski (21:40), and seniors Kara Doolan (21:50) and Lauren Dever (21:56) finished third, fourth and fifth on the team.
The Diplomats are back in action on Sept. 15th at the Rich Achzehn Classic. That event will take place at York College in John Rudy Park at 11:00 am.
