LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Julie Harvey was named to the Eastern Athletic Conference (ECAC) 2013 Division III South Volleyball All-Star First Team. The distinction is the second of her career, having landed on the second team after her freshman campaign.
The junior middle hitter continues to collect postseason honors after garnering American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Honorable Mention accolades, landing a spot on the AVCA Mid-Atlantic Region First Team and picking up the second Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Year award in her career.
Harvey was second in the conference in hitting percentage (.358) and first in total blocks (104). Her 1.07 blocks per set average also ranked first, while her 3.31 kills per set was good for seventh.
She led the Diplomats to a 24-6 record on the year that included a 10-0 mark in conference play. The Diplomats captured the CC Regular Season Title for the second-consecutive year before dropping a heartbreaking 3-1 match to Johns Hopkins in the semifinals.
