24 Diplomats Earn CC Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall placed 24 student-athletes on the Centennial Conference (CC) Academic Honor Roll Tuesday. To be nominated for the Academic Honor Roll, a student must meet the following criteria: (a) participates in at least 50 percent of contests, matches, or meets, or in the Conference varsity championship in swimming, indoor track & track or wrestling; (b) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (c) cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.

Women's track & field placed six athletes on the list. Seniors Margaret Capp, Claire Marshall, Caitlin Regan, and Catherine Westerduin, as well as juniors Katie Allison and Bridget Grogan.

Men's track & field added five athletes to the honor roll with juniors Brian Rivera, Austin Zimmet and Josh Wesalo along with sophomores Jon Pressman and Jeffrey Schlossberg.

Men's and women's tennis each contributed one athlete to the squad, juniors Ross Silverberg and Julia Fiala.

Softball had four members on the honor roll with sophomore Caitlin Brust and juniors Danielle Murphy, Amanda Schellaci, and Julianne Whitleigh.

Sophomore Alexandra Kelly represented the women's lacrosse team, while junior Jason Polansky and senior Kevin Kilpatrick earned the accolade for the men's lacrosse team.

Baseball added three athletes with juniors Aaron Gillette and Kevin Shields and senior Matt Valente.

Women's golf completed the list of F&M athletes, placing sophomore Jennifer Dickey on the honor roll.
