COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Sheena Crawley struck gold three times and captured Franklin & Marshall's first ever track Performer of the Meet as the Diplomats placed fourth at the Centennial Conference (CC) Indoor Championships on Saturday. F&M earned 86 points while Johns Hopkins (143), Dickinson (92), and Ursinus (87) finished first through third respectively.
Crawley claimed two individual events for the Diplomats and was a member of a winning relay team. She earned her first gold in the mile with a 5:05.39 beating her closest competition by three seconds. Crawley picked up her second gold in the 800 crossing with a time of 2:14.86.
F&M's other individual gold medal came from Caitlin Regan in the 400. Regan crossed for a first place finish at 59.59, while teammate Henley Siegrist earned a silver medal with a 59.66. Crawley, Regan, Siegrist later joined Ariel Lefkovits to place first in the 4x400 relay at 4:02.69.
Martha Stefaniak picked up a bronze in the shot put with a throw of 38'04.25". Catherine Westerduin placed fourth in the triple jump with a 34'10.50". Siegrist (26.84) and Regan (27.12) took fourth and sixth in the 200 respectively, Kristen Marinaccio finished sixth in the long jump with a jump of 15'-11.75".
The Diplomats return to action next Saturday at Virginia Tech.
