F&M Falls to Washington in Regular-Season Finale

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team fell to Washington by an 8-1 tally on Saturday afternoon in the 2018 regular season finale. 

The defeat dropped the Diplomats to 9-7, 6-4 CC while the Shorewomen improved to 12-5, 7-3 CC. 

With the decision, F&M will enter the CC Tournament as the No. 5 seed, and travel to Washington on Wednesday for a rematch with the No. 4 Shorewomen. Match time has yet to be determined. Check back with GoDiplomats.com early in the week for more information.

Before the start of Saturday's match, the Diplomats honored their two-member senior class of Sarah Haas and Stefana Vujinovic

By the Numbers 

F&M's lone win occurred in doubles when the No. 2 duo of Gavriel Rubenstein and Stefana Vujinovic earned an 8-2 victory. Alex Collins provided the most-competitive singles match for the Diplomats, winning her first set by a 6-0 tally before dropping the next two close frames at 6-4 and 10-8.
