LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Allison Wolters was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week for women's tennis, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is the second in a row for Wolters and the fifth of her career.
Wolters (Belle Mead, N.J. / Laurel Springs School) rolled to a 6-3, 6-4 straight-set sweep at No. 1 singles on Saturday and teamed with Sarah Haas at No. 1 doubles or an 8-4 victory to lead the Diplomats in their 8-1 victory against Ursinus on Saturday.
The reigning CC Player of the Year has won three straight singles matches, along with three consecutive doubles contests.
The CC-opening win improved F&M to 3-3, 1-0 CC on the year. The Diplomats were scheduled to face Muhlenberg this Saturday, however, that match was moved to April 22 at 12:00 p.m. F&M returns to the courts tomorrow by hosting McDaniel at 4:00 p.m.
