F&M Blanks Bryn Mawr; Wins 10th Straight

LANCASTER, Pa. – With a 9-0 blanking against Bryn Mawr on Friday afternoon, Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team earned it 10th-consecuative win and remained unbeaten in Centennial Conference (CC) play.

The Diplomats, who moved up to No. 11 in the ITA Atlantic South Regional Rankings, shutout an opponent for the sixth time on the year and improved to 11-2, 7-0 CC, while the Owls dropped to 2-9, 1-4 CC. 

By the Numbers 

Both the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles duos earned their ninth-straight win as Nicole Russo and Allison Wolters (No. 1) improved to 7-0 in CC competition, while Sarah Haas and C.J. Rummelsburg (No. 2) moved to 6-0.

Wolters continued her incredible streak at No. 1 singles with her 11th win in a row after a 6-1, 6-2 sweep. Wolters, who made her first appearance in the ITA Atlantic South Regional Rankings by debuting at the No. 23 spot, is now 13-3, 7-0 CC on the season.

F&M owns a 22-1 all-time record against Bryn Mawr, including a streak of five-straight wins.
