Diplomats Wrap Up Unbeaten CC Season

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall edged Gettysburg 108-97 in a battle of unbeaten Centennial Conference teams Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats finished the regular season with a 7-0 CC mark, 8-4 overall. The Bullets dropped their first CC meet of the season and finish 6-1, 7-3.

Franklin & Marshall won six events with two of the victories coming by tenths of a second. Ana Franzluebbers edged Gettysburg's Ali Roth in the 200 free with a 1:58.67. Roth touched second with a 1:58.87. Laura Bassford took first in the 200 fly with a 2:17.64 just ahead of Johanna Persing (2:17.77).

Franzluebbers teamed with Krista Hollingsworth, Olivia Hill and Katherine DeCrosta to with the 400 medley relay with a 4:8.06. Hill went on to win the 1,000 free (10:49.53) and the 500 free (5:19.06).

Hollingsworth won the 50 free (25.12) before taking second in the 200 back (2:13.87). Gettysburg's Cassie Close edged Hollingsworth in 200 back with a 2:13.71.

Franklin & Marshall returns to the pool February 18 in the Centennial Conference Championship at Gettysburg.
