Sassaman, Murphy and Kukoda Earn All-CC
LANCASTER, Pa. -- Three Franklin & Marshall softball players were named to the All-Centennial Conference team annouced Monday. Freshman Malorie Sassaman was named to the first team, sophomore Danielle Murphy to the second team and freshman Alicia Kukoda honorable mention.
Sassaman led the Diplomats with a .438 batting average with 13 extra base hits and 26 RBIs. Sassaman set the school record for hits in a season with 56 while having a .947 fielding percentage at second base. She was second in the conference in average, hits and triples (4),
Murphy landed on the second team for the second time in as many years. She tied for the conference lead in runs scored with 38. Murphy batted .333 with 10 doubles, two triples and drew 23 walks. She stole 13 bases and fielded .956 in center field.
Kukoda batted .371 on 26 hits with 15 RBIs. She scored 13 times, had three doubles and three triples. Kudoda fielded .886 in the outfield.
