LANCASTER, PA - Back Emily Knapp (Sr., Ellicott City, MD/Notre Dame) has been named the recipient of the 2004 Franklin & Marshall College Women's Soccer Practice Jersey Award.
The award is annually presented to the player that displays distinguished commitment to excellence and personifies the motto, "Every Practice, Every Game."
The Franklin & Marshall College Women's Soccer Player of the Year, Knapp was named an All-Centennial Conference second team selection this year as she earned All-CC honors for the third year in a row following second team honors in 2002 and first team honors last year.
A member of the September 13 Centennial Conference Honor Roll for tallying a goal in a 2-1 win over Elizabethtown College on September 9, she concluded the season with one goal and two assists for four points, including an assist in Centennial Conference games, to raise her career total to 10 goals and three assists for 23 points.
Overall, she anchored a Diplomats team that concluded the season ranked eighth in scoring offense (1.25) and scoring defense (1.73) and seventh in shutouts (five).
Franklin & Marshall (6-10, 3-7 Centennial Conference) will return to the field next season in the opening game of the 2005 F&M Tournament.
