Mueller & Ruff Named 2004 Franklin & Marshall Women's Soccer Coaches Award Recipients

LANCASTER, PA - Goalkeeper Melissa Ruff (Sr., East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) and back Emily Mueller (So., Wescosville, PA/Emmaus) have been named the recipients of the 2004 Franklin & Marshall College Women's Soccer Coaches Award.

The Diplomats starting goalie this season, Ruff played 1460 minutes with 28 goals allowed and 102 saves on 221 shots for a .785 save percentage, 1.73 goals against average and four shutouts.
For her career, she finishes with 80 goals allowed and 354 saves on 805 shots with 11.5 shutouts, .816 save percentage and 1.42 goals against average in 5066:36.

Overall, she teamed with Mueller and rest of the F&M defense to conclude the season ranked eighth in scoring offense (1.25) and scoring defense (1.73) and seventh in shutouts (five) in the final Centennial Conference women's soccer statistics.

Franklin & Marshall (6-10, 3-7 Centennial Conference) will return to the field next season in the opening game of the 2005 F&M Tournament.
