Hopkins Holds Off Franklin & Marshall 4-0 in Women's Soccer
BALTIMORE, MD - Franklin & Marshall College goalie Melissa Ruff (Sr., East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) made 11 saves, but Johns Hopkins University received pairs of goals in the first and second halves to down the Diplomats 4-0 in the 2004 season finale.
Laurie Baumann gave Hopkins its first goal at 13:15 courtesy a header off a cross from Lindsey Kimura. Twenty-three minutes later, Meg McIntosh headed a ball to Kathleen Turley whose shot bounced in off the cross bar for a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Sandra Lebo moved the lead to 3-0 with an unassisted 20-yard rocket at 77:52 and Jenn Sciarpelletti finished a feed from Laura Egort at 81:40 off a corner kick.
For Hopkins, Jen Goebel played the first 60 minutes in goal without facing a shot before Kerry Hamilton replaced her for two saves in the final 30 minutes.
