After a quick start to the 2006 season, Franklin & Marshall's women's soccer team struggled down the stretch, ending its season Saturday with a 4-1 loss to Johns Hopkins on the road.
The loss ended F&M's season at 8-7-1, 3-7 in Centennial Conference play.
The Dips fell behind 2-0 at halftime. Hopkins scored in the 21st minute when Nikkole Hianes scored unassisted off a corner kick to make it 1-0.
Just before half, Kate Dunn fired a pass to Lindsey Kimura, who beat keeper Robyn Jones to make it 2-0.
The lead was upped to 3-0 in the 65th minute when Laurie Baumann scored an unassisted goal.
F&M avoided the shutout in the 73rd when Kelly Cassels scored off of a rebound to cut the lead to 3-1.
Hopkins, however, ended any comeback attempt when Hianes scored her second goal of the day, this time on a pass from Dunn to end the game at 4-1.
