Gettysburg Escapes Franklin & Marshall 2-0 in Women's Soccer

LANCASTER, PA - Gettysburg College's Kat Poster and Katie Ferraro scored as the Bullets escaped Franklin & Marshall College with a 2-0 victory in women's soccer.

Gettysburg, which out shot F&M 14-1 in the game, put home the game winner at the 32:34 mark as Jenny Line crossed a ball into the middle where Poster slid a one-timer into the net for a 1-0 lead prior to halftime.

The Bullets tacked on an insurance goal with 3:58 left on the game clock as Ferraro crossed a shot into the upper right 90 of the goal for the 2-0 final.

In goal, Melissa Ruff (Sr., East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) made 12 saves, while Gettysburg's Kristin Short finished with one save.

Franklin & Marshall (5-9, 2-6 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on October 23 at Bryn Mawr College. Game time is set for noon.
