Susquehanna Holds Off Franklin & Marshall 3-0 in Women's Soccer

LANCASTER, PA -- Jess Paulshock finished a pass from Lindsay Knowlton at the 31:49 mark for the game-winning goal as the Susquehanna University women's soccer team defeated host Franklin & Marshall College, 3-0.

The Crusaders padded the lead following halftime as Erin Trumbower caromed in a cross from the foot of Laura Haldeman 54:57 into the game for a 2-1 lead. Susquehanna tacked on another goal at the 81:18 mark as Danielle Zaborowski netted a goal off an assist from Jenna Raffetto as the Crusaders improved to 6-1 on the season.

In goal for the Diplomats, Melissa Ruff (Sr., East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) made eight saves on 15 shots in 90 minutes of action. Susquehanna's Kim Wild recorded six saves on nine Franklin & Marshall shots

Franklin & Marshall (3-3, 0-1 CC) will return to the field on September 24 at Haverford College in Centennial Conference play. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
