Women's Soccer Falls To Susquehanna, 1-0

Julie Yeagley scored the lone goal of the game off a corner kick in the 40th minute to lead Susquehanna over Franklin & Marshall 1-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Tuesday night.
Yeagley fired three shots on goal and scored the game winner late in the first half thanks to the feed from Megan Casey, helping the Crusaders (4-1) record their fourth win and hand the Diplomats (3-1-1) their first loss of the season.
Erin Roy made seven saves for F&M, while Shannon Summers tallied four shots including one that hit the cross bar at the 59:40 mark of the second half. She also made a last-minute attempt to score, but Meredith Tompeck saved her shot with 34 second remaining in the contest.
Susquehanna held a 9-6 margin in shots in the opening stanza, while each team posted four apiece in the second half.
Tompeck recorded the shutout in the net for the Crusaders, making four saves on 10 shots by the Diplomats.
F&M returns to action on Saturday against Ursinus. Game time is 12 p.m.
