LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's soccer team notched its second-straight shutout, blanking Lancaster Bible on Tuesday by a 2-0 score.
The non-conference road win improved the Diplomats to 3-2 on the year, while the Chargers dropped to 0-4.
Senior forward Reanna Leoni got the scoring started just after the half time break with her fourth goal in the last three games. Hannah Robertson located Leoni in the 48th minute with a well-place cross that was driven into the back of the net by F&M's leading scorer.
Goalkeeper Gabby Panayotakis (3-2) cruised in net, recording her third shutout of the season after being credited with a pair of saves. Rheeana Miles (0-4) picked up the loss despite a six-save performance through 90 minutes of action.
F&M led in shots by a 12-6 margin, as well as corners at 8-0. Leoni and Christina Marinos each fired four shots while Raegan Horst paced Lancaster Bible with four of her own.
Centennial Conference (CC) competition opens on Saturday as the Diplomats return to Tylus Field for a 3:00 p.m. matchup against Muhlenberg.
