Diplomats Fall in Centennial Opener

SWARTHMORE, Pa.— In their Centennial Conference (CC) opener, Franklin & Marshall dropped a 2-0 decision to Swarthmore Saturday night in women's soccer action.  The Garnet improved to 4-2, 1-0 CC, while the Diplomats fell to 0-2-1, 0-1 CC.

Swarthmore got on the board with a goal from Amy Diperro in the 31st minute, which was all they would need, as Marie Mutryn was solid in net for Swarthmore.  Emma Sindelar scored with 15 seconds left in the game to set the final margin.

The Diplomats fired off seven shots, led by Jen Korngut, Libby Nichols, and Nancy Epstein with two apiece.

F&M will return to action on Wednesday, September 21, when they host McDaniel at Tylus Field.  Game time is 7 p.m.
