LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse returns to the national stage for the 12th time in 13 seasons after being selected to the NCAA Tournament. The Diplomats begin their 20th NCAA campaign on Sunday, hosting the winner of FDU-Florham or Tufts in the second round at 2:00 p.m. Tufts and FDU-Florham will play at Shadek Stadium on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and the winner faces F&M on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

F&M earned the right to chase the program's third national title by receiving an at-large bid (Pool C)to the tournament. Since 2006, the Diplomats are 30-16 in NCAA Tournament games including an impressive record of 18-1 in home games during that time.
Twenty-nine conferences were awarded automatic qualification for the championship. Two teams were selected from Pool B, which consists of independent institutions and institutions that are members of conferences that do not meet the requirements for automatic qualification. The final 11 berths were reserved for Pool C, which included the remaining institutions in conferences with an automatic qualification that are not the conference champion plus remaining independents and members of non-qualifying conferences.
Ten first-round games will be conducted Saturday, May 12 with the winners advancing to the second round. Sixteen second-round games will be conducted on Sunday, May 13 with the winners advancing to one of four regional sites on Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20. Winners of the four regionals will advance to the semifinals and final, which take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 26-27 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the City of Salem will serve as hosts for the championship.
