Diplomats Compete at Dickinson Tri-Match

CARLISLE, Pa. – Freshman Anelise Browne took third place out of 17 women's golfers after carding an 87 to lead a trio of Franklin & Marshall competitors at Saturday's Dickinson Tri-Match.

The Diplomats did not meet the minimum amount of four golfers to qualify for the team score at the Mayapple Golf Links in Carlisle. McDaniel secured first with a 351, followed by Dickinson with a 368 at the Par-71, 5,808-yard course.

Browne's 87 was just four strokes off the leader, Janine Borelli of McDaniel who shot an 83 on the day. The Green Terror's Meg Schlesinger was next with an 86. 

F&M's Ember Toth carded a 108, while Megan Whittier totaled a 125 to round out the Diplomats' participants in the event.

Action continues for F&M on Tuesday when the Diplomats compete at the Ursinus Spring Invitational.
