F&M Places 10th at McDaniel Invitational

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team placed 10th at the McDaniel Invitational on Sunday. The Diplomats shot 433 in Sunday's second round for a two-day team total of 878 at the par 72, 5,824 yard Bridges Club Golf Course.

Allegheny's Liz Blyth won the individual title by one stroke with scores of 79 and 77 for a 156, helping her squad to the team title with a total of 676. NYU (679) and SUNY Cortland (680) finished second and third, respectively.

Lauren Caffee was the top F&M finisher as she took 42nd place after carding a second round 97 for a two-day total of 201. Jennifer Dickey finished 50th with a 109 (219) on Sunday, while Katie McKiernan was next in 51th after her day two score of 107 (220). Katie Cecere placed 55th with a 120 on day two for a total of 238.

The Diplomats return to action on Thursday at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational at Hanover Country Club.
