Series History: F&M welcomes Gettysburg on Wednesday with the hope of maintaining the close all-time series lead at 22-21-3. These two teams last met on Oct. 23rd of last season when the Diplomats came away with a 3-1 win. F&M has taken three-straight games against the Bullets and hasn't lost in the series since a close 2-1 defeat in 2010.

On Saturday, F&M welcomes Dickinson to Lancaster, leading the all-time series at an impressive 33-9-2. The Diplomats last faced off with the Red Devils on Oct. 27th when F&M needed overtime to secure a 3-2 win. The Diplomats have been unbeaten against Dickinson since 2007.

Last Week: F&M rolled to a 2-0 record last week that included a 2-1 non-conference victory against Misericordia on Wednesday, followed by a 2-0 shutout of Washington on Saturday in Centennial Conference (CC) action.

Against the Cougars, Maria Guarisco netted the game winner with 1:20 remaining to lift the fifth-ranked Diplomats to a 2-1 win.

F&M held a commanding 26-9 advantage in shots and finished with 23 corners to the Cougars' five. Angela Pasquini (4-10) turned away 10 shots in the loss while Avery Koep improved to 11-1 with three stops for the Diplomats.

Facing off with the Shorewomen on Saturday, scores from Bethany Vincent and Lauren Eastman helped Koep notch her sixth shutout of the season as F&M earned the 2-0 win.

Offensively, the Diplomats dominated throughout, outshooting Washington 31-2 and holding the edge on penalty corners at 6-2. Guarisco was active by leading the team with 12 shots, nine of which were on goal.

In the Rankings: The Diplomats fell to No. 6 in this week's Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Poll after spending the previous week as the No. 5 team in the nation. F&M has been ranked in the top 10 of the poll the entire year. Ursinus is the only other CC school in the top-20 rankings, moving up one spot from last week to No. 15.

Punched a Ticket: With a 7-0 CC record F&M remains in control at the top of the conference and has now clinched a spot in upcoming playoffs after a 2-0 win over Washington over the weekend. The Diplomats are one of three teams in the CC to punch a ticket, along with Dickinson (7-1) and Ursinus (7-1).

Among the Elite: As a team, the Diplomats rank seventh in shutouts per game (0.5) and 12th in the nation in goals against average (0.86), while goalkeeper Avery Koep rates 14th in goals against average at 0.87.

CC Winning Streak: With a 7-0 start in CC play, the Diplomats have now secured 30-straight CC regular season contests dating all the way back to the 2010 season. F&M's winning streak now sits second all-time in CC history with Ursinus (2007-11), and behind only the Bears stretch of 44-straight conference wins from 2003-07.

Climbing the Charts: Head coach Melissa Mariano continues to inch closer to the school record in coaching wins. Mariano has now amassed 74 in her career, leaving her just two shy of tying Sue Kloss for the all-time mark. Kloss led the Diplomats from 1981-87, totaling 76-career victories.
