F&M Cracks Top Five

NFHCA National Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall has cracked the top five of the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll, landing at the No. 5 spot in Tuesday's rankings. The Diplomats jumped three spots from last week's No. 8 ranking to make their way into the top-five of the national poll for the first time since Oct. 18 of last year.

The Diplomats posted a pair of shutout Centennial Conference (CC) victories last week to take a stranglehold over the conference race. With crucial wins over Johns Hopkins (2-0) and No. 11 Haverford (2-0), F&M now holds a two-game edge over the rest of the field in the CC standings.

F&M, which is riding a 10-game winning streak, returns to action on Wednesday at Misericordia. The non-conference matchup is set for 5:30 p.m.
