Diplomats Announce Fall Schedules
LANCASTER, Pa. - Schedules for all seven of Franklin & Marshall's fall athletic programs have been announced and are available for viewing on GoDiplomats.com. Click the links above to proceed to each team's 2012 slate of contests.
Friday, Aug. 31 will kick off the 2012-13 F&M Athletics campaign with a trio of teams in action. Volleyball and men's soccer will each host 7:00 p.m. home contests against Lancaster Bible and Oneonta St., respectively, while field hockey will travel to cross-county foe Elizabethtown for its season opener at 5:00 p.m.
Football and women's soccer begin the season at home the following day on Saturday, Sept. 1, with football facing off against Washington & Lee at 1:00 p.m. and women's soccer taking on Covenant at 3:00 p.m. Men's and women's cross country also start their seasons on Sept. 1 at the Millersville Alumni Open at 10:00 a.m.
Centennial Conference (CC) play for football begins on Sept. 8 at Muhlenberg, while field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer each open up CC action on Sept. 15 at home against Swarthmore.
Highlighting the list of home dates this fall will be F&M's annual Homecoming & Family Weekend Oct. 19-21. The Hall of Fame Dinner will open the festivities on the evening of Friday, Oct. 19. On Saturday, volleyball will square off against Washington College at 11:00 a.m. and St. Mary's (Md.) at 3:00 p.m., while football will take on Moravian at 1:30 p.m. A Tylus Field tripleheader is also set for Homecoming Saturday, with field hockey, women's soccer and men's soccer each matched up against Washington College. Field hockey begins at 12:00 p.m., followed by women's soccer at 3:00 p.m. and men's soccer at 6:00 p.m.
Centennial Conference Championships will begin in late October, with the men's and women's cross country championships set to open the fall postseason on Saturday, Oct. 27. The first round of the CC postseason for field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer is set for Wednesday, Oct. 31, with the semifinals and finals scheduled for the first weekend in November.
