LEWISBERRY, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's rowing team brought home the program's third-straight third-place finish at the MARC Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats accumulated 30 points, placing behind only Washington (38) and Marietta (37). Bryn Mawr came in fourth (23), followed by Mary Washington (22), Rutgers-Camden (17), North Park (14) and Richard Stockton (11).
The varsity 8 boat of Danielle Tunkel - coxswain, Amalia Hack, Allison Hoffmann, Natalie Guzikowski, Maggie Provencher, Claire Perrault, Carolina Giraldo, Haley Post and Victoria Trovillion earned points for F&M with a third-place showing at 7:00.8. Washington College took the race with a time of 6:42.0.
A boat of Julia Scavicchio - coxswain, Jennie Silver, Alaina Ignas, Katherine Cousart, Angela Simpson, Julia Whyte, Jamie Chapman, Anne Dolan and Eliza Weintraub placed third in the second varsity 8 race with a time of 7:38.8. Marietta finished first at 7:08.5
At the conclusion of the championships, multiple Diplomats earned All-Conference recognition. Hoffman and Provencher received Varsity All-Conference honors, while Giraldo was named Novice All-Conference. Provencher was also named Academic All-Conference for F&M.
