GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men finished in seventh place in the nine team field at the 2009 Centennial Conference Cross Country Championships. F&M first-years, Angelo Arce and Josh Wesalo were the first Diplomats across the line.
Arce ran the Gettysburg course in 29:25.20 for 46th place, with Wesalo 3.3 seconds and one place behind. Dickinson's Greg Leak set the championship pace with a 26:30.71. His teammates swept the first four spots and owned five of the first six to capture the Centennial crown.
Franklin Decker and Greg Duckloe took 52nd and 53rd place. Decker crossed in 29:34.43, followed by Duckloe at 29:38.72. Francis Blancero finished 57th at 29:51.07 with Reed Bratches just behind at 30:06.95.
The Diplomats return to action in two weeks for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet.
