F&M is currently set to compete in 13 dual meets to go along with nine tournaments as the Diplomats prepare for the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Championships, which are hosted by Bucknell on March 3-4.
The newly restructured NWCA Division I National Duals Championship will occur on on Feb. 19, which matches a dual meet champion from the top eight non-BigTen Conferences (ACC, Big12, EWL, Ivy League, MAC, PAC12, Patriot League/Other, SoCon) against one of the eight BigTen teams in a dual meet competition.
The NCAA Championships are taking place in St. Louis on March 16-18. Last season, F&M sent a pair of wrestlers - Antonio Pelusi and Rick Durso - to the tournament for the first time since 1994.
Several of the EIWA's best programs mark the regular-season schedule as the Diplomats travel to Bucknell on Jan. 10 and Harvard on Jan. 21, while welcoming Drexel to the Mayser Center on Feb. 4 and Princeton on Feb. 17. A total of five dual meets will take place in Lancaster with the opening match slated against VMI on Saturday, Dec. 3. The competition will also serve as Alumni Night for the program.
The historic Midlands Championships are set for Dec. 29-30, hosted by Northwestern. The Diplomats once again will send wrestlers out to take part in the competition and will look to continue the streak of placing a grappler in the top eight in each of the past three seasons.
The fifth annual David H. Lehman F&M Open is set for Saturday, Jan. 7. The tournament continues to grow in popularity, annually attracting nearly 400 collegiate wrestlers from nationally prominent programs. This season's event makes a move back on F&M's campus to the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center for a 9:00 a.m. start.
