F&M Travels to Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's track team visited Shippensburg on Saturday for the Paul Kaiser Classic. The meet, featuring teams from Divisions II and III, served as a final tune-up for the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships, which begin on Friday.

Spencer Lyman led the Diplomat effort on the track, taking 26th out of 72 competitors in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.13. Bryce Williams followed him in 38th after clocking a time of 2:03.01.

Brad Krell represented F&M in the sprints, competing in the 100-meter dash. His time of 11.39 seconds was good for 25th out of 62 in the event.

The Diplomat distance corps also performed well in the 1500 meters, paced by Michael Whalen whose time of 4:14.17 placed him 30th out of 62. Aron Tesfay finished .22 after Whalen, taking 31st and posting a time of 4:14.17.

F&M returns to action for the CC Championships, which begin on Friday, May 6 and conclude on Sunday, May 8.
