COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Mike Dohrmann captured gold in the 400 meter hurdles to provide the highlight of the final day of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships for the Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team. The Diplomats totaled 50 points throughout the three days of competition to take sixth out of the nine competing squads.
Haverford secured the team title with 177 points, narrowly edging out second-place Johns Hopkins (172). Dickinson (132) finished third, while Muhlenberg (114) and Ursinus (73) rounded out the top five.
Dohrmann and Brian Rivera went toe-to-toe in the 400 meter hurdles, providing a 1-2 F&M finish and 18 team points for the Diplomats. Dohrmann crossed the line in 56.29 to edge out Rivera, who finished in 56.31 to nab silver.
Steve Barna also earned points on the final day of the championships for F&M, grabbing seventh in the shot put with a throw of 42'-10.75".
The 4x400 meter relay team of Mohamed Bah, Luk Olenginski, Greg Olenginski and Dohrmann tallied a sixth-place finish with a mark of 3:26.20.
F&M is back in action on Monday, May 14 at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet.
