Franklin & Marshall Cages Ursinus Bears 4-3 in Men's Tennis

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College used wins at #2, #3 and #5 singles and #1 and #2 doubles to defeat Ursinus College 4-3 in Centennial Conference men's tennis action.

In doubles, the team of Alex Chester (Sr., Coral Gables, FL/Palmer-Trinity) and Dan Lindenberg (Sr., Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) defeated Samit Patel and Marcus Ressler 8-2 at #1 and the team of Ben Michelman (So., Severna Park, MD/Severn School) and Andrew Mayer (Jr., West Chester, PA/East) handled Zach Tobias and Ryan Curly 8-5 at #2 as the Diplomats claimed the doubles point.

Levy won over Patel 6-0, 6-0 at #2 singles, Joakim Stenbeck (Fr., Westport, CT/Greens Farms) knocked off Ressler 6-1, 6-0 at #3 and Lindenberg defeated Curley 6-4, 6-2 at #5 to clinch the win for the Diplomats.

The win improves F&M to 37-0-2 all-time against Ursinus in men's tennis.

Franklin & Marshall (8-4. 4-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 18 at Washington College. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
