Franklin & Marshall Manages Muhlenberg 5-2 in Men's Tennis

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College won five of the six singles matches to outlast visiting Muhlenberg College 5-2 in men's tennis.

The Mules (6-3, 1-3 Centennial Conference) earned one victory in singles as Jeff Kraft upset Alex Chester (Sr., Coral Gables, FL/Palmer-Trinity) 6-3, 6-2 at #1. Alex Levy (Jr., West Windsor, NJ/Lawrenceville) got the Diplomats rolling at #2 singles as he blanked Brad Gutwillig 6-0, 6-0 before Joakim Stenbeck (Fr., Westport, CT/Green Farms) downed Mitch Reading 6-1, 6-0 at #3. Andrew Mayer (Jr., West Chester, PA/East), Dan Lindenberg (Sr., Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) and Bryan Pilkington (Fr., Lebanon, PA/Lebanon Catholic) were victorious at #4, #5 and #6, respectively, to wrap up the win for Franklin & Marshall.

The win improves Franklin & Marshall to 42-8 all-time against Muhlenberg.

Franklin & Marshall (5-3. 2-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 10 at Haverford College versus Carnegie Mellon University. Match time is set for 10:00 a.m.
