Men's Tennis Handles York, 6-1

LANCASTER, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College men's tennis team improved to 7-3 on the year as the team dropped visiting York College of Pennsylvania, 6-1.

The match marked the first ever meeting between the two local colleges as the Diplomats captured the match with a strong showing in singles.

Leading 2-1 after doubles, F&M took control of the match Alex Chester (Jr., Coral Gables, FL/Palmer-Trinity) outlasted Brian Frey 6-2, 6-2 at #1, before Alex Levy (So., West Windsor, CT/Lawrenceville School), Alex Sanchez-Sierra (Jr., Tangier, Morocco/American College of Tangier), Ben Michelman (Fr., Severna Park, MD/Severn School) and Mark Watson (Fr., New York, NY/Hyde School-Woodstock) rolled to wins at #2, 4, 5 and 6, respectively, for the deciding factor.

Franklin & Marshall (7-3, 2-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 1 at Gettysburg College. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
