Diplomats Fall To Swarthmore

LANCASTER, Pa. - The 13th-ranked Swarthmore men's tennis team swept the doubles matches, before winning all six singles matches for a 9-0 sweep of Franklin & Marshall in Centennial Conference CC) action on Saturday.

The Garnet (6-8, 6-1 CC) won all the singles matches in straight sets expect at the No. 3 spot and five out of six players were double winners to earn the conference victory.

Kevin Shaughnessy picked up wins at No.1 singles and doubles, defeating Armen Vartan 6-4, 7-5 and joining Jonathan Lo for an 8-0 victory.

Brett Joseph had a close match at No. 3 singles, falling to Mark Wee 6-0, 4-6, 10-5 in the Diplomats (4-8, 2-7 CC) season finale.
